    Hello from Scotland

I have left hemi diaphragmatic paralysis..which occurred during two incidents…the first was carrying diving equipment and a stretching of the nerve during a cycling injury….this happened in 2011…and I was told by lung specialist it would never heal….As a triathlete and 3.30 marathon runner I was devastated…it felt like Samson having his hair cut off….at first I couldn’t swim 50 metres without having to stop….now I can swim a mile without stopping with float between legs.

Its bow 2016….4 and a half years since my stretching injuries…..I feel better and wonder if any of you out there can give me any thoughts on this…is it healing?…or has my other lung adapted?.…..the stretching of the nerve took place at collar bone level….

Can anyone give me advise thanks….if I can give advice to anyone…..it would be start very small with comfortable exercise…as the first year I didn’t feel any improvement….so stick with it……from acorns large oak trees can grow….thanks Neil from Scotland.
